He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice Marie Sayers (Enyeart) and Jay Sayers; his wife Patricia June Sayers (Sherman); his sons, Earl Sayers, John Sayers and Robert Sayers Jr.; his daughter-in-law Theresa Sayers; and his siblings, Patricia Savage and Vance Sayers.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel Sayers (Sherrie), Stephen Sayers (Grace), William Sayers (Tina) and Susan Franck (John); his daughter-in-law Linda Sayers; and his grandchildren, Tamara, Lauren, Tiffany, Julie, David S., Matthew, William, John (JR), Diana, Alicia, Danielle, Nicholas, Amanda, Melanie, Samuel, Donovan, Devanie and David F.. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
