He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph R. Haas of Clarkston and Ida Riffel Haas of Clarkston; and his siblings, Dean Haas, Dr. Ralph Haas, Robert "Bobby" Haas, Donna Chaffee and Lucille Ford.
He is survived by: his children, Rachel E. Haas, Cupertino, Calif, Adam R. Haas and Jordan Isaac Haas of Lynnwood, Wash.; and his grandchildren, Malaina Haas, Leah Haas, Naya Haas, Cameron Haas and Adrian Lynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, three children.
He was a conservationist by nature, advocating protection of wildlife and the environment, and was active in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Seattle Sports Fishing Club.
