He was predeceased by: his friends, Touraj Assefi of Kenmore and Homa Assefi of Kenmore; his parents, Richard Sheahan and Mary Sheahan; and his brother Bob Sheahan.

He is survived by: his son Michael; his wife Sharon; his children, Mike Sheahan Murray (Corrine) of Utah, Kathy Sheahan (Jose Vargas) of San Marcos and Julia Anderson (Jerold) of Vista; his stepchildren, Michael Johnson of Lewiston and Michelle Hardman (Jim) of Snohomish; his grandchildren, Shaida Alarcon, Alejandro Vargas, Jiselle Davis, Jaleel Davis, Jayce Anderson, Jill Peterson (Ross), Todd Hardman (Kendra) and Kristi Schule (Casey); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kendall Peterson, Eliana Schule and Clarice Hardman; his mother-in-law Helen Tribble of Moscow; his siblings-in-law, Connie Hurd (Jim) of Seaside, Ron Tribble (Cheryl) of Troy and Gary Tribble (Cassie) of Moscow; and his children, Nassim Assefi, Seema Clifasefi (Saul) and Leela Assefi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
