He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Heustis and Ruth Heustis; and his siblings, Chet, Don, Olliver, Oleta and Lucille.

He is survived by : his wife Shirley Maybeary; his siblings, Lillian and Kenny; and his children, Maria (Chip Geffre), Dale (Anna Heustis), Okla, Angela (Arnold Caines) and Joanna (Steven Henry). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Sixth Street Senior Center, 832 Sixth St., Clarkston.
