Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Richard leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schu and Jean Warwick Schu; his great grandchild Aurora; and his brother Mike. He is survived by: his wife Debra; his children, Shelly Beach (Daniel) of Rosalia, David Schu (Holly), Del Schu (Laura) of Vancouver and Ryan Schu (Jenna); his grandsons, Chad Gatherer (Lovell) of San Antonio and Todd Gatherer (Kallen) of Camas, Washington; and his siblings, Mary Dominick (Gary) of Tualatin and Brad Schu (Margo) of Kirkwood, Missouri.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rosalia Community Church (214 S Whitman Ave, Rosalia, WA 99170).
