He was predeceased by: his parents, Desmond Dotts and Lena Dotts (Ansoldo); his brothers, Gaylord, Argonne and Monty Dotts; and his granddaughter Katie Williams.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Dotts; and his children, Grant Dotts Jr. (Sandy) of Colville, WA, Steve Dotts (Anita), Marilyn Dotts (Barry Meyer) of Chewelah, WA and Harry Dotts (Sherri) of Colville, WA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Colville Free Methodist Church.
