He was predeceased by : his parents, Paul Borst and Edna Borst (Leonard); his brother Doug Borst (Anita); and his daughter Rhonda Sallis (Borst). He is survived by : his wife Mary Borst (Casperson); his brother Bruce (Evadenye Borst); and his children, Becky (Scott Kuch) and Eric (Nadya Borst). He is also survived by three step daughters, six grandchildren, five step grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and countless friends and family.
