He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth; his parents, Roy Startin and Daisy Startin; his siblings, Leo, Phyllis Trout, Leanmae Freeburn, Dorothy Brodhead, Robert and Gayle Startin; his grandparents, Joseph and Roberta Startin; and his grandson Andrew Startin.
He is survived by: his children, Darrel Jr. (Joni) of Spokane, Roxane Clow (Keith) of Kennewick, Rodney (Kelly) of Spokane, Kim of Spokane, Johnny (John Ruark), Lisa (David Maloney) of Yreka, CA and Wallace Wayne. He is also survived by children, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
