He is survived by: his wife Connie Chitwood of Lynden; his brother-in-law Bill Tjoelker (Lois); his stepdaughters, Pat Beld (Allan) and Tami Powell (Tom); his stepgrandchildren, Ryan Beld (Cora), Jason Beld (Ashlee) and Shawna Powell (Grant Steed); and his brothers, Jim (Debora), Bud (Betty) and Ron Martinson (Ann). He is also survived by six step-great-grandchildren, and several step-nieces and nephews.
