He was predeceased by: his parents, Garrett F. Bruce and Margaret A. Bruce (Campbell); his wife Ruthie Aileen Bruce (Baird); his siblings, Willie Claude Bruce, Raymond Bruce, Floyd Bruce, Jessie Hicks, Hermann Bruce, Ted Bruce, Willie Dople and Ray Bruce; and his son-in-law Richard Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Bruce (Kathy) of Spokane and Donna Rice of Dryden; his grandchildren, Kelsey Rice Bogdan of Melrose, William Bruce of Spokane, Elizabeth Hartnett of Spokane and Rachel Rice of Dryden; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Aaron, Hannah, Lincoln, Rhett, Raven, Alexander, Athena and Malcolm; his brothers, Delmus, Ed and Vernon Bruce; and his close friend Ed Wright. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
