He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Hopp and Rosalia Hopp; and his sister Inez Scribner. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa (Mike Robinson) and Sue (Brad Nakaji); his grandchildren, Sarah (Matt), Kat (Graham), Meredith (Peter), Erin and James; and his great grandchildren, Lily and Rider.
