He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Johnson and Leah Johnson; his brothers, Gordon, Irvin, Dale and Dennis Johnson; his former wife Ellen Johnson; his children-in-law, Karen Johnson and Steve Corcoran; and his granddaughter Erin Corcoran.
He is survived by: his wife Terri Johnson; his children, David Johnson (Denise) and Rita Rasnic (Zane); his stepchildren, Chris Beutler and Robyn Boughton (Todd); and his sister Violet Anderson. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Wilmington Lutheran Church (204 Johnson St, Arnegard, ND 58835). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Schafer Cemetery.
