We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2022, at the age of 79, John Robert Nelson (Ephrata, Washington) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Dwight Nelson and Dorothy Nelson; his wife Mary Wickwire; his children, Jenny Rickel (Mike) of East Wenatchee, Marc Nelson (Katie) of Pasco, Jeff Nelson (Sarah) of Ephrata and Lindsay Kane of East Wenatchee; his grandchildren, Isaac Nelson, Hagen Nelson, Spencer Rickel, Max Nelson, Wes Nelson, Gracie Gorman, Adrianna Redstar, Kyndall Kane, Luke Nelson, Lettie Nelson, Lyza Kane, Audrey Kane, Daiva Mihelich and Lulu Nelson; his brother Russell Nelson; his nieces, Soraiya Wilkins and Shireen Hotchkiss (Gerald); and his great-nephews, William and David Wilkins.

David W Lee wrote a sympathy message

“I grew up with Bob, from 6-7 years age and up through most of high school. Our parents lived a block or so apart. The attached photo was taken by my dad, John Lee, at Christmas in 1953. He also made Cgristmas moves of neighborhood families over a period of about ten years. I can send digital copies for those interested. I was ten months younger, but we did a lot of things together, with other kids in the hood. That included collecting salamanders and playing sports. Great memories.”
