He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Vincent Swanson, Sr. and Marian Swanson (Kern); his sister Marianne Hedlund; and his grandparents, Anton Swanson, Anna Swanson (Olin), Coy Kern and Ethel Kern (Jones).
He is survived by: his children, James V. Swanson and Catherine Swanson; and his grandchildren, Fetu, Eme and Silas.
