He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Schafer and Iva Schafer (Tysver). He is survived by: his wife Ardella; his children, Brooke, Cyd (Eric), Lori (Todd) and Jennifer (Matt); and his grandsons, Finn, Cooper and Ruhne.
