He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert DeFord and Donna Mae Nichols; and his mother-in-law Alice Klaus. He is survived by: his wife Rayanna Wojahn; his sons, Dustin (Crystal Chambers) of Saint John Washington and Jason of Mesa; his grandsons, Matthew and Ryan; his stepmother Marlene DeFord; and his siblings, Bruce (Cynthia), Rick, Kristin Berry (Bruce), Karen Fisher (Steve), Kay Flanagan (Tony), Kathy Byers (Denny), Karla Ethier (Doug) and Kimberly Park (Ron). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Steve DeFord Memorial Tree Fund to replant the pines at the Mt. Hope Chapel.
