As we bid Phyllis Odessa farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Phyllis Odessa is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her siblings, Wilma, Russell, Lola, Harold and Shirley; her uncle John; and her parents, Grace Halfaday and Melvin Henry Halfaday (Phyllis). She was also cherished by her thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Bonney Watson Funeral Home (1535 SW Dash Point Rd, Federal Way, WA 98023). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Berean Baptist Church (9702 128th St E, Puyallup, WA 98373).
