He was predeceased by: his parents, George M. Lura and Alyce P. [Overby] Lura; and his brother Dennis. He is survived by: his wife Colleen [Purcell]; his son Daniel; his brother Duane "Duey"; and his nephews, Davis Lura and D. J. Lura.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Oak Harbor Lutheran Church (1253 NW 2nd Ave, Oak Harbor, WA 98277).
