He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford James Wright and Lesley Lorraine Stewart; his siblings, Buford Leroy Wright and Melva Jane; and his daughter Elizabeth.

He is survived by: his close friend Howard Burch; his former wife Janet Stein; his daughter Lesley (Donald Doe); his wife Marilynn; his stepsons, Maury Gottlieb (Kelli) and David Gottlieb (Jennifer Evers); his grandchildren, Nathaniel Wright-Simmons (Jackie Hunter), Georgia Gould (Sam) and Jasper Gottlieb; and his great grandchildren, Louisa and Charlotte Gould.
