He was predeceased by: his parents, John Carbone and Elrita Carbone; his wife Cathy; and his brother Joseph. He is survived by: his sons, John Michael (Yvonne) and Curt Christopher (Christine); his brother Jim; his grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas and Nicole; and his great grandchildren, Scottie and Kasen. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, and nephews.
