She was predeceased by: her parents, Harutaro Umino and Yoneko Umino (Fukushima); her husband Steve; and her siblings, Ichiro Umino, Aiko Nakahara of San Jose and Hideko Nakamura of Los Angeles.
She is survived by: her sisters, Fumiko Momii of Menlo Park and Hana Kawaguchi of San Francisco; and her children, Clayton, Colleen, Cynthia (Jon) and Christy. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
