He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Pontious and Christine Pontious; his son Tim Pontious; his sister Carolyn Pontious; and his close friend Ron Stoppler.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Henning-Pontious; his children, Ryan Pontious (Sylena) and Shannon Garner (Brett); and his stepchildren, Ruthann Brown and Scott Henning (Mandy). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and many friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Steele Chapel (5050 Mt Solo Rd, Longview, WA 98632).
