We bid farewell to Evelyn Grace Matthews (Kennewick, Washington), born in Missoula, Montana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 20, 2025 at the age of 95. Evelyn Grace touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Evelyn Grace leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Evelyn Grace may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe W. Ballantyne and Bertha W. Ballantyne (Folwell); her husband Buzz Matthews; her son Chuck Matthews; and her brother Judson Ballantyne.
She is survived by: her daughters, Celinda Matthews, Melody Kendall (Frank), Sylvia Howard (Gary) and Twyla Penner (Jim). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren three step grandchildren (one deceased), nine step great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
