He was predeceased by: his parents, Enrique Mercado and Adelina Mercado; his daughter Jeanette Mercado; his former wife Joan Mercado; his grandson Andre; and his sister Viola.
He is survived by: his wife Yolanda; and his children, Jason and Geraldo Jr.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
