He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Wood Peterson and Winnie Lavaun Wright; his siblings, Farrell, Delbert, Dale, Dean and June; and his daughter-in-law Kimberlee Peterson.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Bybee Peterson; his sisters, Kathy and DeeAnn; his children, Steve Peterson (Kimber), John Peterson (Tamara), KayLynn Taylor (Gregg) and Blake Peterson; and his grandchildren, Braxton, Dallin, Weslyn, Tessa, Ashton, Jess, Josh, Grace, Jake, Stockton, Logan, Natalie, Sadee, Tanner, Eliza, KayLynn and Addie Mae. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints (4445 S Olympia St, Kennewick, WA 99337).
