He was predeceased by: his father Calvin L. Hampton. He is survived by: his children, Danielle I. Hampton-Gentry and Dwight U. Hampton II (Paige); his grandson Sekai; his mother Viola O. Hampton; and his siblings, Owen S. Hampton, S. Islamah Rashid, Ain-Akilah Barnett (James) and Vickie Franklin (late James). He is also survived by his niece, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, a plethora of family members, and cherished friends.
