He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Larson and Barbara Larson (Johnson-Kidder); and his niece Gretchen DeBree. He is survived by: his intended Dee Cheshier; and his siblings, Su DeBree, Bruce and Tom Kidder. He is also survived by cousins; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
As years passed, he was able to slow its progression with medications until 2020 when the COVID pandemic hit and he could no longer seek nor continue treatment.
Erick is especially well-remembered for his contribution to the Seattle film scene through Shining Moment Productions, the trade name for his film exhibition service.
