He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bowen and Margaret Bowen; his wife Eileen Bowen; his brothers, Harry and Ed Bowen; and his daughter Susie Bowen.

He is survived by: his son-in-law Scott; and his children, Jim Bowen of Tacoma, Washington, Sharon Hedlund (Scott) of Auburn, Patty Weheimer (Ben) of Federal Way and Peggy Davis (Ken) of Tacoma, Washington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
