He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Merritt and Minnie Merritt (Bosch); and his siblings, Dennis Dale Merritt and Donna Marie Ryken. He is survived by: his wife Marcene Joanne Merritt (Rennich); his daughter Tami; his brother Denny; his children, Salmon, Michael Martin Merritt, Kathleen Marie Dvorak, Tamara Lynette Canady, Timothy William Merritt and Jeffrey Damian Merritt; and his sister Patrica Ann Drui.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (13055 SE 192nd St, Renton, WA 98059). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to the Healthwell Foundation for Pulmonary Fibrosis.
