He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Shane and Barbara L. Shane Vandervlugt. He is survived by: his wife Irene Retel; his stepchildren, Deseray Regier (Lane), Jarvis Retel (Katharine) and Brenden Retel (Kriselda); his granddaughters, Ava, Eden, Mya Regier, Alice and Ruby Retel; his siblings, Karen Somerville (John), Connie Grant (Dave), Mike Shane (Wendy) and Diane Ashby (Dave); and his stepfather Jim Vandervlugt. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews.
