He was predeceased by: his parents, James Phillips and Emma Phillips; his wife Ruth B. Sather; his siblings, Richard, Roberta (Bobbie) and Margaret (Margie); and his son-in-law Greg Cherin.
He is survived by: his children, Greg (Edie) of Monroe, Gary (Alliea) of Lacey, Gordon (Adel) of Olympia, Janice Cherin of Seattle and Jolene (Kurt) of Lacey; his grandchildren, Anderew (Vanessa), Derek, Tyler Cherin, Erik (Anna), Bryan (Lee), Jeff Stiles (Mandy), Sean, Andy Phillips, Jacey and Dan Phillips; his great grandchildren, Kaylee, Caleb, Cooper Cherin and Holly Stiles; and his sisters, Barbara Lentz of Tri-Cities and Suzie Mutch of Pullman, Washington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
