He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joan Lissner (late Walt) and Donald Monaghan (Cheryl); his wife Mary Louise; his children, Kenneth Monaghan, Denise Monaghan O'Connell and Colleen Merlino (John); his grandchildren, Patrick O'Connell (Amanda), Daniel Merlino, Caroline Monaghan, Elizabeth O'Connell, Molly Merlino and Justin Merlino; and his great grandchildren, Brecken and Eira O'Connell. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
A Mass will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (812 Bowker St SE, Lacey, WA 98503). A committal service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Tahoma National Cemetery (18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Memorial Hospital.
