Ed Cash (Rainier, OR), born in Eugene, Oregon, passed away in Longview, WA, on November 10, 2021, at the age of 82, of Alzheimer's. Ed was born April 5, 1939, to Sterling Eugene Cash and Elizabeth Williams Cash, and grew up in the beautiful Rose City Park neighborhood. He attended Rose City Park Grade School, then Grant and Benson High School. Ed was a fifth-generation Oregonian. In 1959, he married Nancy Bradley, together they had two children, John A. Cash and Margo E. Cash. They divorced; and in 1963, he married Jewel (Julie) M. Johnson. Together they had a daughter, Deborah M. Cash Trnka. Later, Ed married the love of his life, Alice Jourdan, of Aloha. In 1994, they moved to Rainier, OR. Ed mastered the trade of a linoleum layer, by becoming an apprentice through his father-in-law, Louis Bradley. He worked for his in-laws at Alberta Linoleum, until the death of his father-in-law. He was self-employed thereafter. This trade was with him throughout his life, and was first-rate at the profession. He also did home remodeling; and loved fast cars of all kinds. Animals were especially important to Ed, and later in life, he loved his kitties, and puppies. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Betty, and daughter, Deborah. He is survived by his wife, Alice; brother, Jim Cash (Arabelle); son, John Cash (Kerry); daughter, Margo Cash Schiewe (Bob); step-daughters, Julie Jourdan Bettinger (Timm); Cindy Jourdan Elverud (Rick); grand-children, Katie Wetten Wilkins, Krystal Rollins (Oddis), Christina Cash Latham (Zack), Eric Vertrees, Andriel Vertrees, Lashawna Kohler, Kelly Elverud; 22 great-grandchildren; nephews, Dan and Jay Cash; and many cousins.
