He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacob Wurtz and Anna Wurtz (Hofer); his former life partner Esther Stahl; his wife Rebecca Maendel; and his siblings, Marie, Anna, Sarah, Peter, Rachel, John, Susanna, Joseph, William and Herbert.
He is survived by : his children, Joseph (Stephanie), Peter and Rebecca (Jason); his siblings, Jacob, Lena, Helen and Magdalena; and his son Benjamin (Judy). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
