He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ridder of Lynden; his children, Mark Tjoelker (Elaine) of Australia, Rod Tjoelker (Tenda) of Bellevue, Dan Tjoelker (Stephanie) of Columbus, Shari (Ray VanderKooi) of Grand Rapids, MI and Elizabeth Tjoelker of Lynden; his grandchildren, Lindsey VanderKooi, Ben Tjoelker (Kaleigh), Nico Tjoelker, Madeleine Tjoelker, Alison Petrea (Garrhett), Adam Tjoelker, Abby VanderKooi, Elise Tjoelker, Matthew Tjoelker and Ian Tjoelker; his siblings, Winnie Maarhuis, Freida Van Dyk, Janie Martinson (Bill) and Bill Tjoelker; and his sister-in-law Marie Tjoelker. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
