She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Vries and Anna De Vries; her husband Robert Kiel; her brother-in-law Lester Kiel; her nibling Leslie Kiel; and her grandson Ryan Kiel.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Smit, Linda Vander Yacht (Lynn), JoAn Steiner (Chris) and Harlan Kiel; and her sister-in-law Jean Kiel. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Monumenta Cemetery (925 19th St, Lynden, WA 98264). A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Grace Baptist Church (338 N Park St, Lynden, WA 98264).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Health Care Center at 855 Aaron Drive, Lynden, WA 98264.
