With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fern Marvel (Hackenjos) Kaehr of Lynden, Washington, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 84. As Fern departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Fern may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Fern leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Hackenjos and Silvia Hackenjos (Kohler); her husband Ron; and her siblings, Glenn, Myron, Carl, Phyllis Smith and Nilah Fischer.
She is survived by: her sister Dema Hackenjos of Iola, KS; her sons, Kenyon (Donna) of Iola, KS, Jason and Aaron (Joe Musielak) of Bow, WA; and her niece Denise Chatterton (James) of Lynden, WA.. She is also survived by neighbors and friends.
