He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Buma and Irene Buma (DeJong); his wife Delores; his father-in-law Devenus (Victoria Pearson); his siblings, Pete Buma Jr. and AnnaMae Bovenkamp; and his brother-in-law Ron Soine.
He is survived by: his children, Robyn Hoefer (Mike) and Ryan Buma (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Georgia Buma, Max Buma (Sophie) and Jack Buma; his brothers, Gus Buma (Hermina) and Gary Buma (Nina); and his siblings-in-law, Bert Bovenkamp (Norma Jo), Corajean Buma and Janice Soine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
