He was predeceased by: his parents, Teunis DeYoung and Henrietta DeYoung (Mouw); his wife Ellen DeYoung (Visser); his siblings, Evelyn, Kathryn, Peter, Ted and James; his sisters-in-law, Joni VanDerAa and Mildred VanProoyen; and his daughter-in-law Martha DeYoung.
He is survived by: his children, Tim DeYoung (Khim) of Bellingham, Tamara Palmer (Louie) of Blaine, Trella Boone (Scott) of Foley, AL, Todd DeYoung (Seck) of Singapore, Joel Earnest-DeYoung (Katherine) of Lynge, Jonathan DeYoung (Terri) of Mesa, AZ and Jason DeYoung (Sorcha) of West Linn, OR; and his sister-in-law Janice Balkema (Visser). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
