She was predeceased by: her parents, Job Hovius and Kee' Hovius (van Dijk); her husband Henry Steiger; and her siblings, Ienje, Job, Piet, Derk (Anita Hovius) and Bob.
She is survived by: her daughter Connie Kooi (Veryl); her grandchildren, Naomi, Nathan, Jason and Alex; her child Jeany Aupperlee (Don); her grandchildren, Derek, Janelle, Julie and Kayla; her son Peter Steiger (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Michelle, Mark, Kevin and Kaysha; her son Jacob Steiger (Donna); her grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, Rebecca and Eric; her sister Denise Storteboom; and her siblings-in-law, Ninke Hovius and Henry Hiemstra. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
