She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew D Mellema and Gertje Mellema (Kooi); her husband Doc; her parents-in-law, Paul, Emma DeHoog Zylstra, Bea Stadt, Dr Lou Zylstra and Ed Zylstra; her daughter-in-law Trisha Bosman Zylstra; and her grandson Fletcher Paul Zylstra.
She is survived by: her children, Doreen Meenderinck (Lauren), Karrin Simpson (Dean), Tim Zylstra (Michelle) and Tom Zylstra (Bridget); her grandchildren, Malorie Tjoelker (Derek), Kelsie Heystek (Derek), Ty Haan (Hannah), Austin Haan (Ashley), Jordan Simpson (Jayme), Kylee Simpson, Conor Nordstrom (EmmaLee), Hailey Moffat (Tristan), Brooke Nordstrom, Marc Meenderinck (Kelli), Brevin, Annie Zylstra, Dexter and Ruby Zylstra; her great grandchildren, Macy, Briggs, Dekker Tjoelker, Ava, Sofie Heystek, Beckett, Kinsley, Kooper Haan, Ryker Simpson and Miley Jean Meenderinck; her close friend Stan Likkel (late Lois); and her siblings, Shirley Bierlink (Fred), Betty Schweigert (late Rich), Dick Mellema (Esther), Anton "Tony", Cindy Mellema, Ted Mellema (Clarice), Andy Mellema (Barb) and Barbie Iaconetti (Bobby). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
