Julia Plagerman Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Julia Plagerman in Lynden, Washington, born in Downey, California, who passed away on June 26, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Metske Hoekstra and Florence Hoekstra (Vos). She is survived by: her husband Durwyn Plagerman; her children, Janice Collins, Ron Plagerman (Jody), Duwayne Plagerman (Candys) and Richard Plagerman (Cindy); her sister Evelyn VanderVeen; her siblings-in-law, Marge Hoekstra, Pat Hoekstra, Glenda Hoekstra, Ray Tjoelker and Stan VanderVeen; her siblings, Melvin Hoekstra, Hank Hoekstra, Frank Hoekstra, Dennis Hoekstra and Gert Tjoelker; and her son-in-law Andy Collins. She is also survived by Ten grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Although her voice was stilled the last few years, it brings us great comfort and joy in knowing she is singing in God's choir now!In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whatcom Hospice House, 2800 Douglas Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225.
