Luella Stuurmans Obituary
We bid farewell to Luella Stuurmans (Lynden, Washington), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 23, 2025 at the age of 90. Luella touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Stremler and Elizabeth Stremler (Oordt); her husband Stu; her daughter Canda Swanson; her sister Elaine Korthuis; her sisters-in-law, Jan Stremler and Joyce Visser; her sons-in-law, Bill Huelman and Lonnie Swanson; her brother-in-law Arv Navis; and her sister Helen Navis.
She is survived by: her daughter Jaylene Huelman; her grandchildren, R. Abell of Maine, Mystina Abell Euper and Jeffrey Huelman; her great grandchildren, TreMaine, Thomas, Theseus, Lilli, James and Annie; and her brothers-in-law, Bob Korthuis (Diane), Lewis Stremler (Carol) and Ken Stremler. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gillies Funeral Home & Cremation Services (202 Front St, Lynden, WA 98264). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Monumenta Cemetery (1980 Front St, Lynden, WA 98264). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Grace Baptist Fellowship (338 N Park St, Lynden, WA 98264).
