She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Heutink and Pearl Heutink (Nouwens); her siblings, Harold, Wally and Johanna Peel; and her daughter-in-law Nyla Smith.

She is survived by: her son Ron Van Soest (Laura); and her grandchildren, Jamie Van (Larissa), Krista O'Bryne (Josh) and Brandon Van Soest. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, two step daughters, 6 step grandchildren, and nieces, nephews and friends.
