It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Jay Laninga in Lynden, Washington, who passed away on July 17, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon Jay Laninga to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his mother Johanna Laninga (VanLoo); his wife Ann; his children, Paul, Karla Laninga, Myra Warners (Gary) and Keith Laninga (Kerry); his grandchildren, Leah Grasmeyer (Ben), David Warners (Liza), Adam Warners, Hannah Warners, Kinsey Laninga and Kane Laninga; and his great grandchildren, Ford, Jade, Olivia Grasmeyer, Ellis and Margo Warners.
He is survived by: his father Julius Laninga. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, in-laws, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Raybrook Manor Chapel (2121 Raybrook St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
