She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Frank Letcher and Irene Letcher; her siblings, Betty, Bill, Cecil, Don, Emma, Jo and Tom; and her husband Leander Steffen (Gump).

Franny was active in the church (Maplewood Presbyterian) and donated her time to two different daycares over the years.
