With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John David Hosey (Lynnwood, Washington), born in Birmingham, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2026 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae Saunders and Elton Martha Cutshaw Hosey; his brothers, Amos Hosey, Willis "Bill" Hosey and Robert E. Lee Hosey; his wife Lavon "Sandy" Hosey; and his sons, John David Hosey Jr. and James David Hosey.
He is survived by: his children, Adam Leight (Ludora), Katawnna Clark (Richard) of Germany and Leilani Leighton (Michael); his granddaughter Amanda Holman; his children, Andrew, Alec Clark, Ryan, Tyler, Brandon, Aaron, Emma Hosey, Patrick and Morgan Leighton; his great grandchildren, Reese, Harper and Hadley Holman; and his grandchildren, Timber Hope, Danica, Adalisa and Wyatt Leighton.
