He is survived by: his father Keith Fortner; his wife Connie Alston; his children, John Fortner (Shari) and Brenda Freeman (Steven); his grandchildren, Nate, Nick and Amanda Fortner; his stepchildren, Erik Alston (Bethany) and Katrina Johnson (Taylor); his stepgrandchildren, Landon Alston, Kaylie Alston, Isla Johnson and Jett Johnson; his siblings, Mike Fortner (Kathy) and Carol; his half-sister Debbie; his stepsister Kay (John); Linda.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family who wish to make memorial donations in Tom's name may donate to the Washington Trails Association to help maintain the trails he loved to hike so much.
