He was predeceased by : his sister JoAnn Frost. He is survived by : his wife Sally; his sons, Jeff Ohlsen (Young Ae), Ron Ohlsen (Kim) and Gregg Ohlsen (Suzanne); and his sisters, Betty Meske and Bonnie Drake. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

Memorial donations in his name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
