He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

“It was sad to hear about Dewain's passing. Before I turned 16 & able to drive, my mom, Dorothy, would drop me off at Dewain & Carolyn's place early every morning so that Carolyn (a cook at RHS) could take me to the school for early morning seminary. DeWain & I would usually play a game of pool prior to leaving the house. I have fond memories of him, with toothpick in mouth & always a poker face, teaching me how to play the game & either crushing me or letting me win. Doug Robbins”
